Answer:

Perimeter of square =4×side

=4×64

=256cm

Perimeter of Rectangle = Perimeter of square

⇒2×(length+breadth)=256

⇒2×(80+breadth)=256

⇒breadth=48cm

Area of square =side×side

=64×64

=4096cm

2

Area of rectangle = =l×b

=80×48

=3840cm

2

Area of Square is greater than Area of Rectangle.

FINAL ANSWER:

area of square is greater by 1156 m²

GIVEN:

One is a square of side 64 m

length of rectangle

perimeter of square and rectangle

TO FIND:

which have more area and by how much

FORMULA USED:

area of square and rectangle

perimeter of square and rectangle

SOLUTION:

[∵perimeter of square and rectangle is equal i.e.]

×64=2(30+b)

2456=60+2b

256-60=2b

196=2b

b=\frac{196}{2}

b=98

[∵ now area of square and rectangle]

area of square = side²

= 64×64

=4096m²

area of rectangle = l×b

=98×30

=2940 m²

∴area of square > area of rectangle

4096 > 2940

∴area of square is greater by

= 4096-2940

=1156 m²
