perimeter of rectangular field =2(90+70)
2*160=320m= perimeter of square
320=4*side
side of square=80m
area of rectangle=90*70=6300m²
area of square=80²=6400m²
then square has greater area.

Answer: Area of square plot is greater than the area of rectangular field by 100 m².

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Length of rectangular field = 90 m

Width of rectangular field = 70 m

According to question,

Perimeter of square = Perimeter of rectangular field

4\times s=2(90+70)\\\\4s=2\times 160\\\\s=\dfrac{320}{4}\\\\s=80\ m

So, Area of rectangular field is given by

length\times width\\\\=90\times 70\\\\=6300\ m^2

Area of square is given by

s^2=80^2=6400\ m^2

Hence, Area of square plot is greater than the area of rectangular field by 100 m².
