Electric field due to q₁ on q₂ will be : E₂,₁=k * 0.2/(5*10⁻²)²

Similarly, Electric field due to q₂ on q₁ qill be : E₁,₂= k * 0.4/(5*10⁻²)²

Since both are positive charges, they repel the point charge placed at their mid-point.

Therefore , net Electric field : E = E₁,₂ - E₂,₁

                                                    = k * (0.4-0.2)/25 * 10⁻⁴

                                                    = 9 * 10⁹ * 0.2 * 10⁴ / 25

                                                    = 18 * 10¹⁰ * 100/25

                                                    = 72 * 10¹⁰

                                                    = 7.2 * 10¹¹ N/C
