Two poles 18m and. 13 m high stand upright in a playground . If their feet are 12 m apart find the distance between their top?

length of longer tower above shorter tower=18-13=5m
distance b/w there feets=12m
let distance b/w their top=x
so by pythagoras theorem
 {12}^{2} + {5}^{2} = {x}^{2} \\ 144 + 25 = {x}^{2} \\ 169 = {x}^{2} \\ so \: x = 13
so distance b/w their tops is 13m
