let distance b/w their top=x
so by pythagoras theorem
${12}^{2} + {5}^{2} = {x}^{2} \\ 144 + 25 = {x}^{2} \\ 169 = {x}^{2} \\ so \: x = 13$
so distance b/w their tops is 13m
