Two poles AB and PQ are standing opposite each other on either side of a road
200 m wide. From a point R between them on the road, the angles of elevation of
the top of the poles AB and PQ are 45degree
and 40degree respectively. If height of AB = 80
m, find the height of PQ correct to the nearest metre.

\huge\bf{\green{\underline{Explanation:-}}}

Tan 45= height of AB/BR

1 = 80/BR

BR = 80

Now,

Tan 40 = Height of PQ/200-80

O.8391= PQ/120

PQ =0.8391×120

PQ = 100.692

PQ ~~= 100.7m
