SOLUTION:-

Given:

Two poles are 25m & 15m high and the line joining their tops makes an angle 45°.

To find:

The horizontal distance between their poles.

Explanation:

•Two poles AD & CE of height are 25m & 15m.

BD= CE= 15cm

So,

AB= AD - CE

AB= 25m- 15m

AB= 10m

In ∆ABC,

tan \theta =  \frac{Perpendicular}{Base}  \\  \\  =  > tan45 \degree =  \frac{AB}{BC}  \\  \\  =  > 1 =  \frac{10}{x}  \\  \\  =  > x = 10m

Thus,

The horizontal distance between the poles is 10m.

Thank you.
