----------------------------------------

Here is the solution:

----------------------------------------

Find the difference in the height of the two poles:

36 - 28 = 8 m

Find the distance between the top of the poles:

a² + b² = c²

15² + 8² = c²

c² = 15² + 8²

c² = 289

c = √289

c = 17 m

Answer: The distance between the top of the two poles is 17m

 \huge \boxed{ \mathbb{ \ulcorner ANSWER: \urcorner}}

→ Let AB and CD is two poles of height 36m and 28m.

→ BD is the distance between the two poles is 15m.

→ And, AC is the distance between the two poles from the top.

▶ Now,

→ AE = AB - EB.

=> AE = 36 - 28. [ EB = CD = 28m.]

=> AE = 8m.

▶ In ∆AEC. Angle E is 90°.

➡ By Pythagoras theorem.

=> ( AC )² = ( AE )² + ( EC )².

=> AC² = 8² + (15)².

=> AC² = 64 + 225.

=> AC² = 289.

=> AC = √289.

=> AC = 17m.

✔✔ Hence, the distance between the two poles from the top is ( AC ) 17m. ✅✅
