Area covered by the string and poles = 495 m² if poles of height 15m & 12 m are at 70 m distance and man 20 m away from smaller pole

Step-by-step explanation:

man is standing away 20 m from smaller pole

Distance between Poles = Width of Road = 70 m

=> man is standing away 70 - 20 = 50 m from Larger pole

area covered by the string and poles  = Area by two right angle triangle

one with base = 20 m & height = 12 m

& another with Base = 50 m  & height = 15 m

Area = (1/2) * 20 * 12  + (1/2) * 50 * 15

= 120 + 375

= 495 m²

area covered by the string and poles = 495 m²
