two poles of equal heights are standing opposite each other on either side of the road which is 80m wide. from a point between them on the road the angle of elevation of the top of the poles are 60 and 45 respectively. find the height of pole and distance of the point from the pole​

let  height of first pole be AB and height of  second pole be CD.

let the point on the ground be P .

∴ ∠APB = 60° and ∠ CPD = 45°

let BP be x { let the road be BD = 80 m }

⇒ DP = 80-x

now , in triangle APB ,

tan60 =AB/BP

⇒ √3=AB/X

⇒ AB = x√3                         (eq-1)

similarly, in triangle CPD

tan 45 = CD/PD

⇒   1 =  CD/ 80-x

⇒ CD = 80-x
