Two poles of height 6 metres and 11 metres stand on a plane ground.If the distance between their feet is 12 metres then find the difference in tge distance between their top?

Consider a triangle with the vertices being the tops of the poles and the third being the point on the 11 metres pole that is 6 metre high from ground
Since these vertices make a right angles triangle we use Pythagoras theorem to find the length of hypotenuse which is also the distance between the tops of the poles
h^2 = 12^2 + 5^2
h^2 = 13^2
h = 13
Hence distance between tops of poles = 13
