Two poles of height 7 meters and 14 meters stand on a plane. if the distance between their feet is 24 meters, then the distance between their tops is

Let AB = 14 m

DC = EB = 7 m

BC = DE = 24 m

In ∆AED, angle AED = 90°

AE² + ED² = AD²

7² + 24² = AD²

AD² = 49 + 576

AD² = 625

AD = √625

AD = 25 m

Distance between their tops is 25m.

Dc=7m

We know that the faces facing the rectangle are equal

so,

DC = BE

And DE = BC

Now we need to know AD

we know that ∠ADE = 90°

we used formula Ac² = AB²+BC²

And found our answer
