given :
- Two poles of height 8m and 20m stand vertically upright on the plane ground if the distance between there feet is 16m
To find :
- the distance between there tips
Solution :
AB = AD - CE ( CD = BD = 8)
AB = AD - BD
AB = 20 - 8
AB = 12 m
now,
ΔABC apply phythagoran theorem
AC² = AB² + BC²
AC² = 12² + 16²
AC² = 144 + 256
AC² = 400
AC = √400
AC = 20
∴ Top distance is 20 cm
