Let the Smaller pole be AB and its shadow be AC
then AB=4m and AC=6m

Now Let the bigger pole be DE and its shadow be DF

Now, Angle A = Angle D  (∵ both are 90 degree)
          Angle C = Angle F   (∵ Angle of elevation for sun)

So triangle ABC and Triangle DEF are similar,

so,
                            \frac{AB}{AC} = \frac{DE}{DF}
from here, DF = 12 m
This is the answer
