Distance between the feet of two poles (DC) = 12 m
AD = BC = 6 m
BE = CE - BC = 11- 6 = 5 m
We have to find, AE.
According to Pythagoras theorem,
AE² = AB² + BE²
AE² = 122 + 52 = √169
AE = 13.
∴ Distance between the tops of two poles = 13 m
