Firstly it's safer to work in S.I units so first convert the velocity wyich is in km/hr to m/s by multiplying by 1000 and dividing by 3600. The formula for acceleration is = Change in velocity/ time taken. Change means subtracting your final and initial velocities which you've already converted to m/s divided by the time taken which is 0.5 secs.....Then arrive at your answer
