A) 110 km/h

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First lets find the distance between the two trains X and Y

Lets assume that the train X has to travel from point A to B

then the time taken by train X will be 25hrs + 36 hrs(time taken by both the trains to meet) = 61 hrs

Now,

Train X

Speed = 100km/hr

Distance = Speed×Time

Time = 61 hrs

= 61×100

=6100kms.

now the distance travelled by train X from point A to point at where they meet is

Distance = Speed × Time

= 100×36

=3600kms.

then the distance travelled by train Y = 6100-3600

= 2500kms.

now the speed of train Y

= distance/time

= 2500/25

= 100km/hr.

therefore the speed of the train Y = 100km/hr.
