In the competitive field of university admissions, it can help to have perfect grades when volunteering and to maintain a full schedule, but it does not guarantee you a place in those universities. There may be several reasons why one's application was not successful and one is not accepted by an university such as  other applicants' competition, qualification criteria, the student's personal statement. Also the qualifications do not suit your favorite subject mix

• Admission officers don't expect teens to have a particular future path or academic plan but do want to have a good understanding of how the school will help them achieve their goals and understand the university mission. This ensures that the institution must be investigated before applying to ensure that it provides the type of education and experience that the applicant wants. Teenagers must always understand what the college environment is willing to deliver. If their essays does not match this requirement then they do not get accepted in the university
• The types and grades of courses that students take at high school are the best measures of the success of the students at university. Most schools base admission choices on all aspects of an application of a applicant and not only on credentials and exams, but admissions counselors want to know that students have the ability to handle demanding courses in their university. . If students have a bottom floor that if they do not achieve over a number in one of those categories, then it is an overall denial of admissions.
