Two rectangles, ABCD and DBEF are shown in the diagram. The length of AD is 3 cm, and the length of AB is 4 cm. What is the area of rectangle DBEF?​

Step-by-step explanation:

First, solve triangle DAB by using Pythagoras property. We get length of DB = 5cm after that

Solve triangle DBC by using herons formula. We get area of triangle DBC which is 6cm.

We have find length of DB so it is parallel to FE as we know that there is two triangle so we have to divide 5cm in (3,2cm)

After that we find triangle CFD, using Pythagoras property, we get length of FD which is 7cm

You see that FD is parallel to BE so then you find triangle BCE by using herons formula we get 6cm

After solving these all you have to add area of triangle DBC, CFDand BCE

6cm + 2route21 + 6cm

We get 14route21
