We have,

  • length of small board = 6 cm
  • then length of big board = 12 cm

Let breadth of the small board is b and breadth of the big board is y

and according to the question,

• ratio of length and breadth of small boards is equal to the length and breadth of the big boadd

  \bold{: \implies \frac{6}{b} = \frac{12}{y} } \: \: \\ \\ \bold{ : \implies 6y = 12b} \\ \\ \bold{ : \implies y = \cancel{\frac{12b}{6} }} \\ \\ \bold{: \implies y =2b } \: \: \: \: \:

so, we can say that breadth of big board is double to breadth of the small boards.
