In series the equivalent resistance is equal to the sun of the resistances
Therefore, In Series = 9+2= 11 ohm
In parallel the equivalent resistance is calculated by formula
1/req=(1/r1)+(1/r2)
=(1/9)+(1/2)
=(2+9)/18
=11/18
Therefore req= 18/11
