Two resistance R1=(6+-0.3)ohm and R2=(3+-0.1)ohm are joined in parallel. Find the equivalent resistance in with maximum error in this case

Rp=R1xR2/R1+R2= so R1xR2=( 6*3) and its absolute error is (0.3+-0.1) =( 18+-0.4)0hm as absolute error is always added Now R1+R2=( 6+3) and absoulte error is (0.3+-0.1) so Rs =(9+-0.4) Now put above formula we get ( 18+-0.4)/ (9+-0.4)= (2 +- 0.8)ohm ..remember absolute error ΔR is always added...hope it helps ...
