Let the resistance of each wire be R

CASE (I)

If both wires are connected in parallel .

1/R eq = 2/R

or R eq = R/2

H = V /R eq²

or H1 = 4V/R²

CASE (II)

If both wires are connected in series

R eq = 2R

H = V /R eq²

H2 = V/4R²

H1/H2 = (4V/R² )/(V/4R²)

=> H1:H2 = 16:1
