Two resistors, 47.0-02 and 82.0-92, are connected in series across
a 45.0-V battery.
a. What is the current in the circuit?
b. What is the voltage drop across each resistor?
c. The 47.0-92 resistor is replaced by a 39.0-02 resistor. Will the current
increase, decrease, or remain the same?
d. What will happen to the voltage drop across the 82.0-02 resistor?

When the resistances of 47 Ohm & 82 Ohm are connected in series, it means a total resistance of 129 Ohms(47+82) is connected across the battery.

The voltage drop across 82 Ohm resistance = (82/129)x45 = 28.6 Volts.
