Answer:

In parallel connection we have equivalent resistance (Req) as :

1/Req = 1/ R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 … (and so on)

But for 2 Resitance connected in parallel just remember

Req = R1*R2/(R1+R2)

Hence for 3ohm and 6ohm connected in parallel we get

Req = 3*6/(3+6) = 18/9 = 2 ohms
