Given - Resistance1 - 5 ohm

Resistance 2 - 10 ohm

Find - Ratio of current flowing through each resistor.

Solution - In a parallel circuit, the voltage across each resistor will be same. Voltage is given by the formula - V = I*R, where v is voltage, i is current and r is resistance.

Since voltage is equal, I1*R1 = I2*R2.

Keeping the values of R1 and R2 in equation-

I1/I2 = R2/R1

I1/I2 = 10/5

I1/I2 = 2/1 ohm

Hence, the current in resistor 1 and 2 is in the ratio 2:1.
