Explanation:

We know that current in Series connection is same.

Therefore, From V= IR

0.40 = I × 2 ( Ist Resistor)

I = 0.40/2

I = 0.2 A

Since, Current is same in each case.

Hence, Again from V= IR

V= 0.2 × 3 ( 2nd Resistor)

V= 0.6V
