two resistors of resistance 4ohm and 6ohm are connected in parallel to a cell to draw current 0.5 Ampere from the cell calculate the current in each resistor

V=IR
1/Resistance in parallel = 1/4 +1/6
=5/12
Resistance in parallel= 12/5 ohm

V=12/5*0.5
V=1.2 v

=>Current in 4ohm resistor
I =V/R
=1.2/4
=0.3 A

=>Current in 6ohm resistor
I=V/R
=1.2/6
=0.2 A

Therefore, current in 4ohm resistor is 0.3A and 6ohm resistor is 0.2A
