Given: The resistance of the first resistor(R1)= 5ohm

The resistance of the second resistor(R2)= 10ohm

The voltage across the first resistor(V1) = 4V

To find The value of current across R2

Solution: In an electric circuit, when there is a hindrance to the current's flow, this is known as resistance.

From the question, the resistors R1 and R2 are in series, and we know for a circuit that is connected in series, the current flowing through that circuit is constant or the same. So we can tell that the current flowing through the first resistor with resistance R1 and having a voltage V1 is exactly the same as the current flowing through the second resistor.

∴ The current across the first resistor(I1)= V1/R1

                                                                 =4/5 A

                                                                 = 0.8 A

So, therefore 0.8A current is also flowing through the second resistor as the circuit is in series.

Hence the value of the current across R2 is 0.8A
