two resistors R1 is equal to 5 or 1 or 2 is equals to 15 ohm are connected in series to a 10 volt battery calculate (a)the heat produced in each resistance due to flow of current in 20 seconds (b) the power develop across each resistor

resistor R1=5ohm
resistor R2 =15ohm
the resultant R=5+15=20 Ohm [since they are connected in series ]
emf of the battery E=10V
let the current flowing be I,then
Current I=E/R
I=20/10
I=2ampere
the heat produced in 10 sec.is given by
H=I^2 xRxt
H=2^2x20x10
H=40x20
H=800joules
