Two resistors with resistances 10 ohm and 15 ohm are to be connected to a battery of emf 12 V so as to obtain :1) minimum current.2) maximum current.   A) How will you connect the resistance in each case .   B) Calculate the strength of total current in the circuit in the 2 cases.

For minimum current, Resistance has to be maximum. So they must be connected in series. Total Resistance = 10+15 = 25 ohm
Current, I = 12/25 = 0.48 Amp

2)
For maximum current, Resistance has to be minimum. So they must be connected in parallel. Total Resistance =  \frac{10\times15}{10+15} = 6 ohm
Current, I = 12/6 = 2.0 Amp
