this is the lesson the road not taken. this line tells us that a the road on which the poet was travelling divided into two leaving the poet in the dilemma to travel which one as it is not possible for an individual to travel two roads at the same time. the poet stands there thinking that which road he should travel. but finally he takes the decision to travel the second which was not travelled much leaving the first road for another day.
