Two rounds of a rope are put around a rectangular flower bed of length 1 1/4 m and breadth 3/4 m . find the length of rope needed .

ANSWER :

Length =  \frac{11}{4}

Breadth =  \frac{3}{4}

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

= 2( \frac{11}{4} +  \frac{3}{4}

= 2 ( \frac{11 + 3}{4} )

= 2 ×  \frac{14}{4}

= 7m

✡️As the rope was put around two times we will multiply the perimeter with two.

Length of rope = 7×2

=> 14m
