solution:-

Given :- speed s = distance(d)/time(t)

Since distance d is the same d = st

At 12 km/h, takes shorter time t

At 10 km/h, takes longer time (t + 16/60) =( t+4/15)

12(t) = (t + 4/15)10

=> 12t = 10t + 40/15

=> 12t-10t = 8/3

=>t = 4/3

D = st

=> 12×3/4 = 3×3 = 9km
