Two scout troops are camping. One troop has 40 members and the other, has 48 members. The scoutmasters want to divide them into groups. Answer:

8 Scouts in each Group

Step-by-step explanation:

to find that scouts of the two troops are grouped such that each group has the biggest number possible of scouts and each group has the same number of scouts with no scouts left out

we Need to find HCF ( highest common Factor) of Members of each tropp

48 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2

40 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 5

HCF = 2 * 2 * 2  = 8

8 Scouts in each Group
