There was a formation of two separate Maratha states.
The particular reason for this can be Mastani.
This indicates the history of the country.
Long back ago, PeshwaBajirao married Mastani who was basically from a Muslim family.
There were no single persons in the family of the Maratha who accepted this particular marriage.
This is because at that time the Hindu-Muslim marriage was not at all accepted by the people.
So, two separate Maratha states formed as a result of it.
