Two sheets of plywood are available. One has a length of 14 m and breath 4.5 m. The other one is a square sheet with side measuring 12.5 m. Which one has a larger area and by how much?

area of rectangle= length * breadth
length of plywood
(which is rectangular) = 14 m
breadth. =4.5m

area of plywood rectangular sheet= 14*4.5
= 63 m sq

area of square= side * side
side of the square plywood sheet= 12.5
area of the square plywood sheet= 12.5*12.5
= 156.25 m sq
so
the area of square plywood sheet is greater than the area of rectangular plywood sheet.
