Answer:

if 1 side is 3 cm and 2 side is 5 cm

by using pythagoras Thm ,

√25-9 = √ 16

square root of 16 is 4

so third side is 4

we know that the sum of any two sides of the triangle is greater than the third side.

Therefore: third side should be less than 5+3=8

cm..

and should be greater than 5-3=2 cm.

Therefore the maximum value of the third side will 7 cm that is nearest to 8
