Correct Question :

  • Two side of triangle are 5 centimetre and 4 the perimeter of the triangle is 12 cm find the length of its side.

 \\

Given :

  • First Side of Triangle = 5cm
  • Second Side of Triangle = 4cm
  • Perimeter of Triangle = 12cm

 \\

To Find :

  • The Third Side of the Triangle

 \\

Solution :

✰ As we know that, Perimeter of Triangle is given by Sum of all the sides of the Triangle. Now in this question, Two sides and Perimeter of the Triangle are given. So let's assume the third side be x cm. Now we will simply substitute the given values in the formula to find the third side of the Triangle.

⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀Sum of all sides = 12

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀5 + 4 + x = 12

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀9 + x = 12

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀x = 12 - 9

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀x = 3cm

Thus Third Side of the Triangle is 3cm
