Given :

⬤ Two Sides of a Parallelogram are in the Ratio 3:4 .

⬤ Perimeter of Parallelogram is 42 cm .

To Find :

⬤ Length of each Side of Parallelogram .

Formula Used :

\bf[\:{Perimeter \: of \: Parallelogram = 2({Side}_{1}+{Side}_{2}}\:]

Solution :

Let :

  • One Side of Parallelogram be 3x.
  • Other Side of Parallelogram be 4x.

According to the Formula :-

42 = 2(S₁ + S₂)

42 = 2(3x + 4x)

42 = 6x + 8x

42 = 14x

42/14 = x

3 = x

Therefore , The Value of x is 3 .

Hence ,

One Side of Parallelogram = 3x

= 3(3)

= 9

Other Side of Parallelogram = 4x

= 4(3)

= 12

Therefore , The two Sides of Parallelogram are 9 cm and 12 cm .

Check :

  • Side₁ = 9 cm
  • Side₂ = 12 cm

42 = 2(Side₁ + Side₂)

42 = 2(9 + 12)

42 = 18 + 24

42 = 42

Hence Checked
