Two sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 5 : 3 and its perimeter is 48 cm.
Find the length of each of its sides

Let the quadrilateral ABCD be the Parallelogram with the given criteria

let the common multiple be x

then the length will be 5x and width will be 3x

the perimeter of Parallelogram is 48cm

then

5x+5x+3x+3x=48.............opposite sides of parallelogram are congruent
16x=48
x=3

then the length is 5x=5(3)=15cm
               width is 3x=3(3)=9cm

the length od its sides are 15cm,15cm,9cm,9cm

Two sides of a parallelogram are 5x+5x+3x+3x = 48
16x =48
X=3
5*3=15
3*3=9
Hence the length of each side is 15,9,15,9 cm
