Step-by-step explanation:

The two sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio = 5:3

Their Perimeter = 64 cm

Let the sides of the parallelogram be 5x and 3x

So,

We know that,

The perimeter of the parallelogram = 2 (a + b )

(here a and b are the sides of the parallelogram)

According to the formula,

= 64 = 2(5x + 3x)

= 64 = 2(8x)

=64 = 16x

= 64/16 = x

= 4 = x

Hence, x = 4

The sides of the parallelogram are ;

= 5x = 5(4) = 20 cm

= 3x = 3(4) = 12 cm

Therefore the sides of the parallelogram are 20cm and 12 cm....
