Given :

Two sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 5 : 3. If its perimeter is 64 cm, find the lengths.

Solution :

Let us assume :

The sides be x

Then,

The Length be 5x

The breadth be 3x

Formula for getting Perimeter of Parallelogram :

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \star \:   \blue{\overline{ \blue{\underline{  \pink{\boxed{  \green{\frak{{ \sf P}erimeter_{({ \sf P}arallelogram) }= 2(Length + Breadth) }}}}}}}}

By putting the values we get

 \twoheadrightarrow   \purple{\frak{64 \: cm = 2(5x + 3x)}}

 \twoheadrightarrow  \purple{\frak{64 \: cm = 2(8x)}}

 \twoheadrightarrow  \purple{\frak{64 \: cm = 16x}}

 \twoheadrightarrow  \purple{\frak{16x  = 64 \: cm}}

  \twoheadrightarrow  \purple{\frak{ x = \frac{64 \: cm}{16} }}

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \star \:  \blue{ \underline{ \purple{ \boxed{  \green{\frak{x = 4 \: cm}}}}}}

Putting x = 4 cm we get

Length = 5x = 5 × 4 cm = 20 cm

Breadth = 3x = 3 × 4 cm = 12 cm

The lengths are 20 cm and 12 cm respectively

Given:-

Two sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 5 : 3. If its perimeter is 64 cm, find the lengths.

Solution:-

Let the sides be x

Then,

The Length be 5x

The breadth be 3x

Formula of perimeter of parallelogram:-

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \star \: \green{\overline{ \blue{\underline{ \red{\boxed{ \blue{\sf{{ \sf P}erimeter_{({ \sf P}arallelogram) }= 2(Length + Breadth) }}}}}}}}

Now ATQ WE HAVE:-

By putting the values we get:-

\longarrow \red{\sf{64 \: cm = 2(5x + 3x)}}

\longarrow \red{\sf{64 \: cm = 2(8x)}}

\longarrow \red{\sf{64 \: cm = 16x}}

\longarrow \red{\sf{16x = 64 \: cm}}

\longarrow \red{\sf{ x = \frac{64 \: cm}{16} }}

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \star \: \blue{ \underline{ \purple{ \boxed{ \green{\sf{x = 4 \: cm}}}}}}⋆

Putting x we get = 4 cm we get

length = 5x = 5 × 4 cm = 20 cm

breadth = 3x = 3 × 4 cm = 12 cm

So, The lengths are 20 cm and 12 cm respectively...
