Answer:

14cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of a triangle  is sum of all sides of Triangle

Let length of third side be Xcm

Therefore 40cm = 12cm + 14cm + Xcm

                 X = 40 - 26

                 X = 14cm

Answer:

Third side of Traingle is 14 cm.

The side of the square will be 10 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of Traingle = 40 cm

First Side of triangle = 12 cm

Second Side of triangle = 14 cm

Third side = X

We know that Sum of sides of triangle = Perimeter

So 40 = 12 + 14 + X

so, x = 14 cm

So, Third side is also 14 cm.

Also, the perimeter of the square is 40 cm.

We know that ,

perimeter of the square = 4 x ( side)

So, 40 = 4 x side

so, side = 10 cm

So the side of the square will be 10 cm.
