  • Area of triangle is 12 cm².
  • Height corresponding to side 8 cm is 3 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find:-

  • Area of triangle.
  • Height corresponding to side 8 cm.

Solution:-

Given that,

Two sides of triangle are 8 cm and 6 cm.

And Height corresponding to side 6 cm is 4 cm.

We know,

Area of triangle = 1/2×base×height

Base = 6 cm.

Height = 4 cm.

Put base and height

➝ 1/2 × 6 × 4

➝ 24/2

➝ 12

Area of triangle is 12 cm².

If we see triangle taking base be 8 cm then, obviously Area will same. So,

➝ 12 = 1/2 × 8 × h

➝ 12×2 = 8 × h

➝ 24 = 8 × h

➝ 24/8 = h

➝ 3 = h

Or, h = 3

Therefore,

Height corresponding to side 8 is 3 cm.
