Two sides of a triangle are 6 cm and 8 cm.If the height of the triangle corresponding to side 6 cm is 4cm find area of triangle and altitude corresponding to 8 cm side.

Area  of triangle = $\frac{1}{2}$×b×h

=6×4÷2

=24÷2

=12cm²

Area is same, b=8cm, h=?

∴12 = $\frac{1}{2}$ × 8 × h

8h = 24

∴h = 3 cm
