two of the three sides in an isosceles triangle are equal so the third side can be 5cm or 13 cm so as to be equal to one of the sides
the sum of any two sides in a triangle is always greater than the third side so if the third side is 5 then 5+5=10 is not greater than thirteen but 13 + 13 = 26 is greater than 5 thats why the answer is 13
