Answer:

Step-by-Suppose one side is 5x and another side is 3x so opposite sides must be 5x and 3x because it's a parallelogram and thus opposite sides are same

Perimeter = sum of all side

64 = 5x + 3x + 5x + 3x

64 = 16x

x = 4

So sides are 20,12,20,12step explanation:

To find : length of sides of  parallelogram

Given : Two sides of the parallelogram are in the ratio 7 : 9 .

            Perimeter is 64 cm .

Solution :

  • As we know that opposite side of parallelogram are equal therefore , let sides of parallelogram be 7x , 9x , 7x , 9x .
  • Perimeter of parallelogram = sum of sides of parallelogram
  • Substituting the values , we get

         64 = 7x + 7x + 9x + 9x  \\64 = 32 x \\x = 2

  • Now , sides of parallelogram are : 7x = 7\times 2 = 14 \ cm

                                                                 9x =  9\times 2 = 18 \ cm

Hence , length of sides of parallelogram are 14cm , 18cm , 14cm , 18cm .
