then,

let 'c' be the third side of the triangle.
semi perimeter = 18 cm
perimeter/2 = 18 cm
perimeter =18 cm *2
perimeter = 36 cm
a + b + c = 36 cm
13 cm + 14 cm + c = 36 cm
c = 36 cm - 13 cm - 14 cm
c = 36 cm - 27 cm
c = 9 cm
therefore the third side of the triangle (c) is 9 cm.
