Two sidesof a parallelogram are in the ratio 7:8. If its perimetre is 210 cm .Find the lengths of its sides .

let the sides be 7x and 8x
as we know that opposite sides of the parallelogram are equal
perimeter = 2(7x+8x) = 210
2(15x) = 210
15x=105
x = 7
sides of the parallelogram are 49 and 56

let the breadth be 7x and the length be 8x
now
perimeter = 210
2(7x + 8x ) = 210
15 x = 105
x = 7

length = 8(7) = 56
breadth = 7(7) = 49
