using Coulomb's law,
F = k/r²
here, F = 1.6N and r = 3m
so, 1.6 N = kq²/(3)²
putting k = 9 × 10^9 Nm²/C² [ experimental value ]
or, 1.6 × 9 = 9 × 10^9 q²
or, 16 × 10^-10 = q²
or, 4 × 10^-5 = q
hence, charge on each = 4 × 10^-5 C
